Mediocre hotel
Location good for shopping and nightlife. Pool area was nice
Room very shabby.. in need of full refurbishment..cracked floor and wall tiles in bathroom...shower flooded whole bathroom. Main floor area covering all broken up and worn away. Bedding ripped. Reception staff hardly spoke English making it difficult to communicate for me and other guests. Difficult to communicate that payment for room had already been payed via booking.com app.

Good
I booked and paid for a large room room with lounge and pull out sofa beds, when I checked in they gave me a standard room and did not offer a refund. Apart from that and the the fact that the breakfasts were not very good the hotel was fine and good value for money,

Great and bad
100 %really lovely staff. Nothing is to much trouble. The young girls that clean and cook breakfast are so kind and work really hard. Breakfast is very miminal, but they even deliver to your room. Free tea, coffee and water all day. Lovely pool, walking distance to beach and Central mall. 7-11 close by. Lots of restaurants around. Even found a nice hairdresser close by. Staff were very helpful and let me change rooms to a nicer room. No problem and 2nd room OK. But rooms had really big beds could sleep 3-4 people. 3nd room had a chair that pulled out as a single bed. Also this room had microwave, kettle and plates and cutlery. Nice and bright room, all rooms have a little balcony with chairs for people who smoke. TV works great, bedding and towels are supplied daily. Water 2 bottles each day, fridge in all rooms. So many positive reasons to stay, but also negatives
First room 204 was in desperate need of maintenance, smell of damp really was bad. Bathroom roof and walls around bed were damp, looked like a leak. Walls are bad. Very depressing room. 2nd room was nicer, more daylight bigger room but also really smells bad of damp. The air con is old leaks into the tiles in the bathroom. Smell in bathroom is so strong.sadly 2nd room has a nightclub behind and the music is so loud until early hours of the morning.

Lovely property but needs a lot of maintenance
The property was really nice and well set out. Spacious rooms and nice pool but way too much chlorine.
I arrived at 1.35 pm and was rudely told I could not check in until 2pm. In this time, another 8 (estimate) guest tried to check in but also couldn’t so we waited in 36 degree heat. At 2pm everyone lined up to check in and I was second in line. The receptionist ignored me and chose to check in all other guest except myself and one other. The only two Westerners! The other guest along with myself was not happy as it was obviously a racial act. This really made me want to leave there and then, but I already had paid for my non-refundable room. The receptionist was the rudest old women I’ve come across in 6 months of traveling this year. I was shown to my room, where as I walked in I was shocked by the patches on the floor and holes everywhere. The young man apologised and left. Later I cut my foot on one of the sharp patches which is now causing me some issues. Why on Earth would you not fix these holes. Guests should not have to stay in that room. Later that night around midnight I arrived back at my room and needed a shower. There was no water in the room. I’m so glad it was only an overnight stay. The property is very nice, but there is some bad maintenance issues and staff attitude problems. Why wouldn’t the receptionist have all the waiting guest checked in and paperwork completed whilst we waited. Instead of us having to wait the 30 minutes from 2pm? Just the little things could make such a difference to a guests stay.
